Former Oxford United player Sam Ricketts was in the Telford team which grabbed the weekend FA Cup headlines as they dumped out first division Crewe to reach the fourth round.
Ricketts, who joined Telford from United this season after failing to hold down a regular first-team spot at the Kassam Stadium, helped the Nationwide Conference outfit to a memorable 1-0 victory at Gresty Road.
And Telford boss Mick Jones admitted Cup fever was taking over after Lee Mills's second-minute header proved enough to secure victory.
Jones said: "Our main focus is promotion, but we have to try to win every game and I cannot do anything about the euphoria of the FA Cup.
"We had a gameplan and we put it into execution and we have beaten a very good side."
Telford took only 75 seconds to take the lead when Mills glanced home a corner from Fitzroy Simpson, who almost became an Oxford player in the summer.
Crewe came back strongly and dominated much of the game but could not find a way through the Shropshire side's defence.
