Garsington Football Club treasurer Cliff Moss has been honoured for three decades of dedication to the village club by being named Volunteer of the Year by the Oxfordshire FA.
Cliff Moss
Cliff, or 'Mr Garsington' as he is also known in local football circles, first started his association with the village side 27 years ago, when his son Chris, 35 - then eight years old - joined Garsington Boys.
Cliff, who was presented with the award by OFA committee member John Webb in a special ceremony at Rover Sports and Social Club, was a member of the committee of Garsington Boys for 12 consecutive years.
During that time, he served as the boys' team manager, general manager and fixture secretary, before becoming boys chairman in 1982 - a post he held for six years.
In 1985, Cliff became officially involved in the senior side after Chris broke into the first team, taking over as secretary, fixture secretary, and treasurer, positions he held continually for 17 years until last season when he stepped down as secretary and fixture secretary. He remains as treasurer.
