Jon Cummins scored JP's other goal, with Dave Holt bagging Sandman's consolation.
A Dan Parry double and a third goal from Danny Crabb saw lowly Abbott Medisense ease to an excellent 3-0 victory against leaders Forest Hill.
In Division 2, Rutherford Lab moved off the foot of the table, after a thrilling 4-3 victory over OUP Wanderers.
A brace from Brian Deans, plus goals from John Hawkins and Steve Bradshaw saw Rutherford triumph, despite OUP scoring through John Allen, Liam Young and Lee Kilpin.
Kevin Kogel hit a hat-trick as Wootton won 4-2 at George & Dragon.
Wooton's other scorer was Andy Chilvers, with Wes Coster and John Pearce replying for George & Dragon.
In Division 3A, goals from David Brennan and Stuart Wells gave high-flying AFC Kidlington a hard-fought 2-0 victory against Clanfield 85.
Goals from John Wright and Joe Singleton helped JET progress into the fourth round of the Devenney Cup with a 2-1 victory against Wheatley Park.
Ian Belcher scored Wheatley's consolation.
