Sunday Cup Lee Keyes was the hero as his golden goal in extra-time sealed Star Wanderers' place in the fourth round of the competition at the expense of Banbury Spurs.
It was Keyes who opened the scoring for visitors Wanderers in the second half, after the first period had finished goalless.
Picking up the ball in midfield, he then went on a solo run, beating a couple of defenders before finishing tidily.
The game then became a niggly affair, with the Banbury side reduced to ten men when they had a player sent off.
However, that merely inspired the home side, who put a number of moves together to force Star on to the back foot.
Wanderers defended well, though, and looked to have weathered the storm when Spurs levelled with only two minutes left, to force the tie into extra-time.
Spurs continued to press for the first period of extra time, but could not find the net.
And they paid for it when Wanderers stole the game in the second period. Peter Higgins's superb through ball allowed Keyes to fire home the winner and his second of the game.
Wanderers travel to another Banbury League side in the next round when they are away to Dynamo Toby.
It was a bad day for previous winners Six Bells Kidlington, who crashed out of the competition with a 5-0 thrashing by Chinnor Exiles.
The Nelson had the easiest ride of all as opponents Barton United failed to show up on the day.
Away from the cup, Rose Hill consolidated their position at the top of the Morrells of Oxford Premier Division with a comprehensive 4-0 victory over second-placed Blackbird Leys Sunday.
In Division 2, Saxon Warriors recovered from a goal down as they got back to winning ways with a 6-1 thrashing of Chalgrove away from home.
Although the visitors took the lead in the first minute, following a mix-up in the Saxon defence, it was their only joy as Saxon took control.
Player-manager James Taylor cracked home the equaliser on 20 minutes.
Scott Tabor then rose well to head in the second, before Wayne Holden made it 3-1.
Kevin Vickers and John Ward added further goals, Paul Kimber compounding Charlbury's misery.
Division 3 leaders Railway Wheatley struggled at Berkshire House, but eventually stole all three points with a narrow 2-1 victory.
Postboys secured a rare win at The George to move them off the bottom to leapfrog over Berkshire House.
Division 4 leaders Barton United Res suffered a rare defeat at home to Osney Arms. The 2-1 win for the visitors took them to the top, relegating Barton to second place.
