Strikers Kenny Clarke and Paul Sherwood are both ruled out as Carterton Town bid to reach the Cherry Red Records Cup semi-finals when they visit Hungerford Town tomorrow.

The pair are both carrying thigh strains following their midweek Oxfordshire Senior Cup defeat at the hands of Hook Norton.

Midfielder James Mort- imer-Jones returns after suffering a gashed shin at Abingdon.

Town manager Terry Merriman said: "We need to cut out the errors which cost us against Hook Norton.

"We are desperate to get a result, because it will certainly keep our season alive."

Chipping Norton Town will also be keen to bounce back from their midweek Senior Cup exit as they travel to Bishops Cleeve.

The west Oxfordshire outfit welcome back Michael Thorpe and Phil Dexter, but will be without defender Steve Tavinor, who has a knee injury.

Tavinor is also the subject of a seven-day approach from Abingdon United, who host high-flying Slimbridge in the first round of the Supplementary Cup.

Recent signing Chris Hooper is cup-tied, but Abingdon could include another new recruit in Anaclet Odhiambo, who has rejoined from Quarry Nomads.

Julian McCalmon and Michaes Herbert have also signed for the Northcourt Road club, although Herbert is cup-tied.

Mark O'Hara returns from suspension, but Richard Peirson has one match of his ban still to serve and Tom Larman is ruled out with an ankle injury.

Lee Newport and Jamie Mills are cup-tied for Wantage Town's trip to North Leigh in the Supplementary Cup first round.

Adam Pilling and Steve Tucker are ruled out with back injuries, but skipper Ross Tyler could return after an ankle injury.

Paul Day (calf) is doubtful, so Alex Lynch is drafted into the squad.

With North Leigh falling behind with their fixtures, and this week's rain putting the game in doubt, manager Mark Gee was hoping they could switch the game to Wantage, if Eynsham Park is deemed unfit.

He said: "We just need to get games under our belts, and we need to get this one out of the way, because we have some big games coming up."

Neil Barrett (thigh) is still sidelined and Ryan McCullagh (back) is out for two weeks as Ardley United host Quarry Nomads.

Tom Doherty (heel) is also missing, but Gary Clifford returns.

Milton United face a tough task against Witney United at The Heights.

Milton manager Keith Stopps should have both Paul Davis's available, but he has lost the services of Hooper, Jon Beames and Nathan Woodley to Abingdon United.

In Division 1 West, Old Woodstock Town, who ended Ross Town's unbeaten run last week, travel to the division's other unbeaten team, Purton.

Boss Eddie Nix read his players the riot act before the Ross game after his side's slump in form saw them slip into mid-table.

And it paid dividends, as they edged to a 1-0 victory.

James Lissiter (holiday) is the only absentee.

Kidlington welcome back Matt Tarry and Danny Morris for their trip to Shriven- ham.
