The new safety air fence, which will be brought in for the first time this season at Oxford Stadium, could prove a big hit with advertisers.
The new fence, introduced to combat the growing number of injuries in the sport, is to be installed at all Elite League tracks this year.
The fences will be 47 metres long and cover the entrances and exits of the bends.
And with each panel being around five metres in length, they are seen as ideal advertising sites.
I understand there has been some interest already and Oxford management are hopeful the scheme will take off.
Meanwhile, the Oxford Speedway Supporters Club hold their annual general meeting at Oxford Stadium tomorrow night (7.30).
Non-members are welcome and the meeting will be followed by a speedway quiz with tickets at £1 each.
There will be a fans' forum the following Friday (7.30), where Oxford Silver Machine promoter Nigel Wagstaff will be hoping to reveal the names of more riders for his 2004 line-up.
It is hoped that a rider will be present and earlier in the day he will be holding a meeting with sponsors and patrons club members.
Potential sponsors are also invited to attend the gathering, which gets under way at 4pm.
