A woman was framed by her managers when they altered documents on her computer's hard drive after discovering she was a lesbian, a court heard.

Kesiree Moodley, 34, is accused of forging a degree certificate to get a £32,000 a year job as a chemical engineer at Kraft Jacobs Suchard, Banbury, and making fraudulent expenses claims worth £60,000.

A jury at Oxford Crown Court heard that Moodley ran up bills for foreign travel and meals at the Le Manoir au Quat' Saisons restaurant on her company American Express card and claimed them on expenses by forging managers' signatures.

Human resources head Tessa Williams denied the suggestion by Peter Ross, defending, that managers had altered files to frame her.

Moodley, of Shenington, near Banbury, denies all the allegations against her. The trial continues.
