A supermarket in Witney will stay open for another four months.
The Co-op was due to move from Market Square, in the town centre, to the Madley Park development, on the outskirts, during January.
Co-op spokesman Adrian Barradell said: "There have been some delays over the building of the new store."
Pensioner Evelyn Jones, 84, of Westfield Road, Witney, who led a protest campaign against the move, welcomed the news.
Mrs Jones said: "I am glad the store has got a reprieve. Many people want to see it stay open. Many of us will not be able to get to the new one."
