More commuters from Oxford into London can take the weight off their feet during their daily journey after Thames Trains agreed to provide more seats.
The company announced it would provide an extra 186 seats on the 07.32 service from Oxford following complaints from passengers.
From January 19, there will be an extra two carriages containing 170 standard class and 16 more first class seats on the stopping service to Paddington.
Communications manager Jonathan Radley said: "Since the Thames Trains franchise started in October 1996, we have increased the number of passengers travelling on our services by over 40 per cent. We have worked hard to ensure these additional passengers are comfortably accommodated. This latest improvement joins a list of more than 100 extra or extended services we have introduced in the last seven years."
