Oxford City's boss Andy Sinnott will be hoping his former striker Mick Swaysland doesn't haunt him when they travel to form side Uxbridge in tonight's Ryman League Division 1 North clash.

Swaysland scored a double as they drew with Sinnott's old side Thame last month, and he is anxious for the striker to avoid him doing the same to his new charges.

City, who beat Berkhamsted Town on Saturday, thanks to a strike from Chris Harper, will be looking for their third successive win.

Sinnott said: "I know Mick very well from my days as manager of Thame. I had to release him due to financial constraints. At that time we had Wayne Cort, Jefferson Louis and Mark West on our books, and we couldn't afford to keep him.

"He's an excellent player and a lovely lad. He's scoring lots of goals. He scored a hat-trick last week and scored the winner on Saturday.

"I just hope he doesn't come back and haunt me."

Sinnott said he is delighted with the capture of young striker Harper.

"I had to be patient, getting Chris from Abingdon Town, but it has paid off.

"He'll score goals at any level. He is a great prospect for the future."

City's assistant manager Julian Dark, who will travel to Uxbridge as cover, continues his comeback from back and calf injuries when he plays for City's reserves in tomorrow's game with Horpath Reserves in the Intermediate Cup.

Thame United's trip to Wivenhoe Town is postponed until March 9, due to the Essex side's involvement in the county cup.
