A £30 meal came with a £1,000 bill for a Wallingford couple after vandals attacked their car.
Joanne Wornham left her Saab estate in the St Albans car park in Wallingford town centre and went for a meal with friends.
She returned to find a massive dent in the car door -- it still had the print of a trainer in it -- and another in the rear.
Her husband Neil is offering a reward to catch the vandals.
Mr Wornham, who runs bar and hotel businesses in London, said: "It's not often I can get back in time to babysit but on Friday I could, and my wife went out for a meal as a treat.
"But that £30 meal came with a £1,000 price tag when we found out how much repairs would cost.
"I can't imagine what people get out of doing this sort of damage.
"But I want them caught and I'm prepared to offer a reward if it gets them to court.
"I was absolutely furious at the damage. I was just as angry at the way this sort of behaviour reflects on Wallingford if mindless vandals are allowed to rule the roost."
