James Horseshoe was also on target for Forest, while Mark Boyle netted the home side's consolation.
A first-half strike from Keiron Day was enough to earn East Hendred a 1-0 victory over Athletico Indeline and keep up the pressure on the leaders.
Matthew Shelton and Andy Shaw were in top form, both hitting braces in Saxton Rovers' 7-3 win over Sandman.
Saxton's other scorers were James Clarke, Ian Woodley and Craig O'Connor. Sandman's scores came from Lee Jones, Paul Tassell and a Saxton own goal.
In Division 2, Standlake Garage and Wootton RBL had to settle for a share of the spoils as they drew 2-2.
Garage's scorers were Danny Lee and Mark Saxel, while Andy Chilvers and Richard Chilvers found the back of the net for Wootton.
A double from Adam Simmonds helped Wheatley Park to a convincing 5-1 win over Division 3A rivals Talbot Terriers.
Other scorers for Wheatley were James Luckett, Ian Belcher, Mark Catling.
Chris Cooke scored a consolation goal for Terriers.
Red Lion Drayton maintained top spot in Div 3B with a 2-1 win against JET, thanks to strikes from Ian Oram and Gary Rudman.
Nigel King netted JET's consolation.
Dorchester United maintained their 100 per cent record with a 3-0 win against Goodlake Arms with goals from Brian Rawlins, Colin Royall and Ian Marshall.
