Baby Megan Boswell has been discharged from hospital almost a week after being fed liquid soap instead of medication.
Managers at the John Radcliffe Hospital, in Headington, Oxford, apologised for the mistake but said the six-week old girl would not have been affected by the small dose of Infacare baby wash she was given instead of Infacol colic remedy.
Megan's mother Joyce, 20, of Lammas Close, Abingdon, said: "It's brilliant that Megan is home and it is a real relief for everyone." The family said it was now considering taking legal action against the hospital.
