Newport (IOW) 0,
Banbury United 4
Banbury United got back to winning ways in the Dr Martens Eastern Division with an impressive display on the Isle of Wight on Saturday.
Banbury went closest to scoring early on when Chris Potter's powerful header came back off a post.
However, on 41 minutes they were ahead when in-form striker George Redknap headed in Les Robinson's cross for his 13th goal of the season.
And just after the break, Wayne Blossom, returning after a three-match ban, stabbed in No 2.
On 64 minutes, David Billington cracked home a superb 25-yard free-kick to make it 3-0.
Banbury then had to withstand some strong Newport pressure, before substitute Liam O'Neill sealed the win with their fourth.
