Threadz, a 'textiles for peace' group is creating a collaborative artwork measuring 6m by 3m.
It is on display in the East Oxford Community Centre in Princes Street every Wednesday and Sunday until March. Tara Stewart, spokesman for the Fusion group at the Oxford Community Arts Agency, said: "The aim is to bring together different textile techniques to create a powerful symbol of unity and our need to co-exist in peace and harmony through a social and practical forum. Six large panels of work are complete to date, along with numerous smaller pieces."
The mid-way exhibition is on show now until Tuesday, and workshops take place each Wednesday, from 10am-1pm and Sunday, from 1-4pm, until March.
