Henley Hawks face a make-or-break basement battle away to bottom side Manchester in National League 1 tomorrow.

The disappointing defeat at home to fellow strugglers Penzance last weekend has left Henley with a fight on their hands to avoid the drop.

And that fight starts tomorrow against a Manchester outfit who have won just one game this season.

Hawks began 2004 on a bright note, beating Bristol and then running London Welsh close a week later.

But all that good work was undone by a weak display against Penzanze.

Conceding penalties has been Henley's problems this season - only Otley have been handed more than the 12 yellow cards the Hawks have received for technical offences this campaign.

Henley make three changes from the squad that lost to Penzance.

Former Oxfoird University centre Ric Van Zyl came through a full game for the 2nd XV last Saturday and will be considered for his first start of the season.

Dan Smaje has also recovered from a knee operation and is one of three scrum-halves in the squad, while prop Andy Grierson has recovered from flu.

Samoan World Cup forward Kiti Viliamu promises to be the big threat for Manchester at No 8.

Oxford Harlequins entertain high-flying Reading in South West 1.

Prop Will Huston returns after coming through well against Witney in the Oxfordshire Cup last weekend after a long injury absence.

Fellow prop Paul DeLange is back from South Africa and will be raring to go, while lock Ben Brusch looks to have played himself into the side.

There is a doubt about flanker Shaun Baxter's knee injury and a decision will be taken on his fitness.

Struggling Banbury travel to Loughborough Students in Midlands 2 East hoping for a repeat of their 43-19 win earlier in the season.

Phil Greenhalgh returns, having missed last week's Oxon Cup game, and this allows Will Brooks to move from the wing to his preferred position on the flank.

Andy Gilbert also returns to the squad, having been involved with Oxfordshire Under 21 squad last week.

Jonathan Viner returns to the starting line-up for Oxford's trip to Chipping Norton in Berks, Bucks & Oxon Division 1.
