A panto with a twist, loosely based on the story of Robin Hood, opens tonight in Kennington.
Marie Hadaway as Robin and Derek Skipper as maid Marian
But in Kennington Amateur Dramatic Group's production, Robin Hoodwinked, the beautiful Maid Marian is not what she appears. The comely wench, played by Derek Skipper is in fact Richard the Lionheart in disguise. He has come home dressed as a woman to spy on the Sheriff of Nottingham and his bad brother King John.
Alison New, of Kads, said: "In the true traditions of pantomime everything ends happily ever after. It's all good family fun."
There will be eight performances -- tonight, tomorrow and Saturday, when there will also be a matinee, with the same schedule next week.
