A BRACE from Joe Burnell ensured North Leigh's safe passage into the Oxfordshire Senior Cup semi-finals, after a comprehensive 4-0 victory over Witney United last night.
Burnell gave North Leigh a 1-0 half-time lead, then after the break, Martin Hall put through his own net to double the home side's advantage.
Youngster Nick Forrester added goal No 3, before Burnell's second wrapped up an easy victory near the end.
Wantage Town booked a place in the semi-finals of the Berks & Bucks Senior Trophy, after a 3-0 victory over Newport Pagnall, despite the second half dismissal of JP Mills for retaliation.
Paul Day fired Wantage ahead in the first half, slotting home a cross from the right.
Mills saw red after he raised his hands to an opponent after a bad challenge, but Wantage took a two-goal advantage when Gary Swann scored.
Glyn Jones headed home a Steve Tucker cross to secure Wantage's victory.
