Oxford University Rugby League Club will play at Iffley Road for the first time in 20 years, when they face the Superleague Academy side Widnes Vikings next month.
Iffley Road is the traditional home of the Dark Blues' rugby union team, but on Friday, February 13 (7.15pm), it will host the first rugby league clash since the 1980s.
Matthew Scaife, president of the rugby league club, said: "There's a good relationship between the Varsity rugby clubs, which hasn't always been the case.
"It's a great thrill to be able to play in front of a crowd, as our regular ground in the University Parks has no such facilities."
Following the success of their ground-breaking tour to the Lebanon, where they won both matches, Oxford University RLFC have arranged for the Widnes match to be sponsored by the Oxford city centre restaurant, Restaurant du Liban.
Oxford captain Jonny Scholes: said: "It's a real privilege to be playing against Widnes - a real chance to test ourselves against some of the top young rugby talent in the country."
The history of OURLFC reveals a large number of dual-code Blues, notably this year's rugby union captain John Allen, who was a try-scorer in last year's victorious rugby league Varsity team.
Oxford will be using this as preparation for their Varsity Match on March 3.
