Prize-winning prints from a science photograpy competition are on show for free until Friday, January 30. The pictures highlight the beauty of the microscopic world and include images of human chromosomes.
A second attraction on Saturday and Sunday, Archaeology for All, encouraged people to dig through layers of artefacts to answer competition questions.
Other events for the festival include 'Put Yourself in the Picture: When Science and Art Meet' on Saturday, January 31, from 10am to 1pm and 2pm to 4pm. Admission is £1.50. Visitors will be able to place themselves in historical pictures using digital photography and photo manipulation.
There will also be a free drop-in Science Shop on February 7 and 8, 2pm to 4pm.
