Although tonight's election of the Oxford University new captain is shrouded in secrecy, there are known to be at least three candidates for the post.
Those with previous captaincy experience include Australian lock Dave Lubans, who led New South Wales Country XV against the 2001 British Lions, and winger John Bradshaw, who skippered University of Cape Town in South Africa.
