Oxfordshire bagged only their second win of the season in Division 1A of the Inter County Championships with an 8-7 victory over Sussex 2nd at Brighton.
With the score tied at 7-7, Emma Martin and Marti Graham won the deciding game 15-17, 15-5, 15-3 to keep alive Oxon's hopes of avoiding a second successive relegation.
Oxfordshire 3rd went down 11-4 against Shropshire in Division 4C at Telford.
Oxon Schools are back on top of Division 2 of the Five Disciplines League after beating Redefield B 120-96.
Amanda King shone, dropping only one point in her singles and winning her women's doubles with Ellie Jackson.
Berinsfield are now second after a 131-88 win against round-six hosts Redefield C. Graham Ashdown was unbeaten for Redefield.
Evenlode are fourth after beating Abingdon C 119-99.
Going into the final discipline, Evenlode led 89-88, and Mark Sheldon and Lee Ackrell eased home 15-3, 15-8 to clinch victory.
Abingdon B moved off the bottom with a 124-103 win over Cramic, with Richard Chamberlain unbeaten.

Redefield A lost their unbeaten record and top spot in Men's Division 1 of the Oxford & District League when they went down 6-3 at Abingdon A.
Abingdon C were twice on the losing side in Division 2 - 7-2 at Leys C and 5-4 at home to North Abingdon A.
In Division 4, Oxford A suffered their first defeat, when they crashed at Berinsfield B. Lee Gerrard and Carl Corver made it 18 out of 18 winning rubbers together for the hosts
Redefield A continued their dominance of Mixed Division 1 with a 9-0 whitewash at Wantage.
