Oxford City Stars maintained their 100 per cent record in the English National League Cup with a 6-1 victory at Peterborough.
Stars took the lead after three minutes when Dave Carr finished off a move involving Dan Prachar and Gary Slevin.
Five minutes later, Paul Crockett, who had another strong game, extended the lead and then Slevin made it three late in the period.
The second period was evenly matched after Stars went further ahead with a Prachar marker early on. Peterborough finally broke their duck 14 seconds from the end of the period with a Fraser Hendry goal.
The third period saw Oxford maintain their lead with few problems and halfway through, Scott Gough was set up by Derek Flint for a powerplay goal.
The last minute saw a sudden rush of action as first Darren Elliott notched Oxford's sixth, another powerplay effort. The Islanders' Jon Cranston then attacked Stars' Andy Cox and was ejected with a match penalty for fighting.

On Sunday, Oxford City Stars fell 9-6 at home to Swindon Lynx in an Inter-League challenge.
In front of a big crowd, Oxford got off to the worst possible start when a defensive error let in Frank De Masi to score after just eight seconds.
Carr then missed a gilt-edged chance to equalise for Oxford, before De Masi bagged his and Swindon's second.
Stars upped their game from the start of the second period, pulling a goal back early on through the impresssive Prachar, who flicked the puck home.
Lynx then went on a goal rush with De Masi (2), Armour and Smith all scoring in six minutes.
Oxford fought back when Crockett set up Gough to fire home in the 35th minute, followed by another goal from Prachar, who converted a chance from Flint.
Stars netted No 4 eight minutes into the third period with a solo effort from Prachar, but Swindon hit back through Forshee, De Masi and Smith in a six-minute spell.
Flint then put away Prachar's pass, before Ben Lay notched Stars' sixth with an unassisted effort, but Swindon held out for victory.
