Rover Oxford went a point clear at the top of South League Division 1 after posting their first win at Old Merchant Taylors with a hard-fought 2-1 victory.
Goalkeeper Chris Slatter played a leading role in Rover's success, continually thwarting the OMT attack in the first half.
OMT dominated the start of the second half, and their pressure told when Matthew Fisher's foot offence in the circle resulted in a penalty which was duly converted.
The goal woke Rover from their slumber and, with 15 minutes remaining, Daniel Smyth fed Greg Horne, who finished well for the equaliser.
Smyth then grabbed what proved to be the winner, seizing on indecision in the home defence to slot the ball under the advancing keeper.
Abingdon recorded their biggest score of the season to run out 4-0 winners in a bottom-of-the-table clash against Tring at RAF Halton.
The visitors opened the scoring after five minutes when a cross from the left by Will Trigg found an unmarked Chris Way on the penalty spot, and he tucked a shot under the Tring goalkeeper.
Ten minutes into the second half, Abingdon went 2-0 up when Kev Smith broke down the right wing, and fired the ball to the far post where Carl Gray rifled a close-range effort high into the roof of the net.
Five minutes later Smith turned goalscorer. Another surging run down the right left him one-on-one with the Tring goalkeeper, whereupon he dummied the pass inside before cheekily lobbing the ball over the grounded 'keeper.
Ron Smith made it 4-0 with an effort that owed more to luck than design. Receiving a short David Brooks free hit just inside the circle, he played the ball goalwards and it deflected off a defender's stick into the goal.
Wallingford demolished Witney 5-1 in Division 2.
Witney opened the scoring in the second minute, but Wallingford levelled through Nick Golding, who dribbled through the D and flicked the ball past the keeper, and they went ahead through a Dan Richardson penalty.
Wallingford's third came in the second half from James Price, who picked up the ball in the D and flicked it past the keeper.
John Rees then scored following a break down the right by Ed Smith.
And Richardson sealed Wallingford's win from a rebound at a short corner.
Other scores: Rover Oxford 2nd 7 (D Bleach 2, A Wynd 2, A Fry, N Strange, T Langdon), Sunbury 2nd 0.
