An investigation has been launched after a suspected arson attack at Didcot Girls' School.
The fire happened on Wednesday, January 28, in a toilet block causing substantial damage.
Smoke was spotted billowing from the block at 11am by teacher Hilary Fox, who set off the alarm. Headteacher Paula Taylor-Moore said all staff and 1,500 girls were evacuated, although the fire was in a separate building.
Mrs Taylor-Moore said: "Clearly this could have been a major incident which could have led to a loss of life."
