Two new bells given to a Wallingford church by a life peer and councillor in memory of his late wife will be officially blessed next month.
Lord Bradshaw's late wife Jill was a keen bellringer and one of her last wishes before she died in 2002 was for something to be done for the bells at St Mary's.
Lord Bradshaw, who lives in Wood Street and is the town's representative on Oxfordshire County Council, had the tower examined to see if there was room to enhance the existing eight bell peal. There was room for two more and they were installed in October and November.
The bells will be dedicated at a special service on March 28.
