Simon Smith ended Kit Young's long unbeaten run as Cowley A maintained their push for the Oxfordshire Super League title with a hard-fought 5-4 victory at main rivals White Lion.
Young's two-season undefeated run stretched back for more than 40 Super League games.
Wins from Terry Sapey, Smith, Jon Jukes (26.37 av), Percy Brain and Pete Jones wrapped up victory for Cowley, with home wins coming from Olly Varney (25.90), Steve Foster (25.58), Graham Manning and Dave Excell.

RUNAWAY ODDA Section 6 leaders Nuffield Arms, kept up their good form when they beat Vikings SC 8-1.
The Nuffield took an early lead when Turner beat Brown, but Vikings levelled when Dave Faulkner beat Carr. But that proved their only success as Nuffield hit back with wins from Newbold, Stimpson, Barry Wells and Pete Dodson to lead 5-1. A 3-0 pairs win sealed the verdict.
Thirteen points behind Nuffield in second place are Railway B, who scored a narrow 5-4 win at Crown Inn, Stadhampton.
