Oxfordshire Senior League: Dan Leggett smashed a hat-trick as Oxford University Press stretched their unbeaten run to ten games with a 4-0 win over Premier Division basement boys Yarnton.

Leggett scored a goal either side of the break to put OUP in control, but missed a penalty.

Jack Massey cracked home a spectacular volley from the edge of the penalty area for No 3, before Leggett completed his treble.

Eynsham maintained their challenge with a 4-2 success against Marston Saints.

The home side went quickly on the attack, but squandered five clear-cut chances before Richard Bustin fired them in front when he shot home from an acute angle just before the break.

However, two minutes in the second half, Marston were level when Dave Wates netted.

Eynsham regained the lead through James Blackmore, only for Jason Hallett to equalise again for Marston.

But that setback spurred Eynsham on, and James Butler lashed home a superb shot from 25 yards to restore the lead, before Russell Whitlock added a fourth from the spot after being fouled.

Launton Sports returned from Garsington with a 3-0 victory.

Chris Proberts opened the scoring with a clever lob after latching on to Simon Thompson's pass.

Garsington's keeper then denied Nick Jones, before the same player netted Launton's second after being set up by Jon Faulkner.

After the break, Faulkner, Mark Nelson and Jones went close before Launton keeper Danny Clifford kept out Dan Sutherland.

Brian Hamilton then wrapped up the points with Launton's third late on.

A brace from Simon Cox helped BCS Bardwell Res to a 2-0 win at Division 2B rivals Broughton & North Newington Res.

Bardwell started well, with makeshift striker Matty Minter firing wide when well-placed.

At the other end, Brough- ton keeper Craig Kelly made a great save to deny Peter Poole.

Just before the break, Kelly pulled off a number of stops to deny Bardwell.

In the second half, Lee Nix went close before he set up Simon Cox for the opener.

And with two minutes left, Nix set up Cox for his second of the contest.

Anthony Roper bagged the winner as ten-man Chadlington won 1-0 at Launton Sports Res, Dennis Slough receiving his marching orders.
