Sam Waters Cup: Carl Bloomfield grabbed a four-timer as The Nelson kept up their 100 per cent record by demolishing Dorchester United 5-2 to reach the semi-finals.

But they did it the hard way, fighting back from two-goals down inside the first ten minutes to cruise into the last four for the first time.

In appalling conditions and with the wind against them, captain Liam O'Callaghan started Nelson's comeback, before top scorer Bloomfield slammed in the equaliser.

Nelson came out fired up in the second half, with Bloomfield adding another three goals to his tally as Nelson eased through.

They will now face Star Wanderers, who made the last four for the first time in their 25-year history, with a 2-0 success at Banbury side Dynamo Toby, thanks to a double from Lee Keyes.

Dynamo dominated early on, but couldn't find their way through Star's hard-working rearguard.

Star then started to make inroads into Dynamo's defence and it was no surprise when Keyes turned a defender and shot home to give Wanderers a deserved 20th-minute lead.

Further chances went begging at both ends, before a long punt from Star keeper Jason Hunt allowed Keyes to round the Dynamo keeper and fire home his second goal from an acute angle, to seal the tie in the dying minutes.

The only other Morrells of Oxford League teams left in the competition, Oxford Exiles, saw their tie at Flowing Well called off for the second week running. It is now scheduled to take place this weekend.

Their opponents in the other semi-final will be Chinnor Exiles, 4-3 winners over visitors Real Armas, with the help of a golden goal in extra time.

SEMI-FINAL DRAW

The Nelson v Star Wanderers, Chinnor v Oxford Exiles or Flowing Well.
