Morrells of Oxford Sunday League: Former Oxford City striker John McMahon grabbed a brace as Rose Hill cruised into the quarter-finals of the League Cup with a 5-1 win over Masons Exiles.

McMahon and a Stuart Parsons strike saw Rose Hill to a 3-0 lead, before Justin Ford netted No 4.

Masons kept going forward and were rewarded for their efforts when Evoli Allison clawed a goal back.

Hill's player-manager Kevin McMahon, who earlier blasted a penalty over the bar, sealed the tie with a late strike.

AFC Vikings upset the formbook as they beat Cold Arbour 2-1, helped by a brilliant display from keeper Ian Breakspear.

Arbour bossed the early stages, forcing Viking veteran Brakespear into several top-quality saves.

However, on the half-hour, Vikings hit back in devastating style through Alan Witney, who fired the opener after latching onto Paul Cooper's long throw.

In the second half, Rocky Whiting and Cooper missed good chances to increase their lead, while at the other end, any Arbour efforts were kept out by Breakspear.

He was only beaten when a deflected shot found its way past him with ten minutes left on the clock.

As the tie looked to be heading for extra time, a fine cross from Cooper was met with a flying header from Mike Medland to secure Vikings' victory with two minutes left.

Marston Village came out with all guns blazing in their tie at home to Northway, but in the end crashed out 1-0.

The home side appeared to leave their scoring boots in the changing room, allowing Northway to take an unexpected lead through Chris Baker, who headed home an excellent long-range free-kick from midfielder Nicky Bayliss.

Despite piling on the pressure in the second half, Marston were again let down by poor finishing and determined defending, as Northway edged through to the semis.
