Oxfordshire Senior Cup holders Oxford City will be looking to reach the last four of this year's competition tomorrow when they travel to Hellenic League Division 1 West side Ardley United (2.30), managed by former City player Paul Spittle.
City boss Andy Sinnott, whose side lost 2-1 to Ryman League Division 1 North rivals Hemel Hempstead on Tuesday, during which they curiously had an own goal controversially disallowed for offside, said: "We have got to forget about that and focus on Ardley.
"It won't be easy for us. Paul has put together a useful side. It's a game we should win, but in cup games, logic can go out of the window.
"We have to be spot-on in our application and attitude. I have told my players that I want to see the cup in our boardroom in May," said Sinnott, who has had Ardley watched.
City will be without Andy Ballard (groin) and midfielder Kevin Lewis, who is cup-tied.
Ardley, who beat City 4-1 in a pre-season friendly, hope to welcome back influential midfielder Ryan McCullagh after a back injury.
The Bicester-area team, who are looking to reach the semi-finals for only the second time in their history, will be without Paul Davidson (ankle).
Assistant manager Ian Feaver said: "I watched City in midweek, and saw nothing to really worry us. There's no reason why we shouldn't be confident of causing an upset."
Oxford C: Benbow, Cruse, Smillie, Wise, Antonowicz, Brown, Shepherd, Champelovier, Lewis, Hamp, Ferreira, Harper, Crosby, Prescott, Whitehead, Dark.
Ardley Utd: from Woodward, C Bough, Wright, Spittle, Guei, Clifford, Bott, McCullagh, Lennon, Barrett, Yarubi, Butt, Goldthorpe, Feaver, P Bough, Swafford.
