The Oxford West and Abingdon MP visited Oxford High School in Belbroughton Road as part of Macmillan Cancer Relief's Big Hush sponsored silence on Friday, February 13.
The fundraiser came at the end of Cancertalk week, which began on February 9.
Mr Harris previously worked as a junior doctor on a leukaemia ward. He said the event aimed to raise awareness of cancer and its symptoms. He added: "Cancertalk week and the Big Hush are both excellent and imaginative ways to bring attention to an important subject that will affect so many pupils, parents and teachers."
