Abingdon Tn 2, Hertford Tn 3: Abingdon Town went down to Ryman Division 2 leaders Hertford, but deserved a point after twice taking the lead.
In an explosive start, Joey Beauchamp opened the scoring in the second minute, running on to a pass from Danny Clarke and blasting past keeper Matt Cope.
The visitors levelled on 15 minutes when Kevin Cooper's shot hit a post and Dave Butler pounced on the rebound.
Abingdon continued to push forward, and were rewarded in the 28th minute when a Joey Beauchamp free-kick was flicked on by Clarke. It looked a simple catch for Cope, but the keeper dropped the ball over his own line to gift Abingdon the lead.
Hertford equalised just before half time through Lee Roberts.
After the break, Joey and Luke Beauchamp both went close to netting a third for Abingdon, before Butler poked home his second goal of the game on 72 minutes.
