Oxfordshire coroner Nicholas Gardiner is appealing for written submissions to help him decide whether to hold a full inquest into the death of weapons expert David Kelly.
Dr Kelly, 59, who worked for the Ministry of Defence, was found dead last July near his home at Southmoor, near Abingdon, after apparently killing himself.
Mr Gardiner has been studying documents not seen by Lord Hutton, who last month published a report into his inquiry into Dr Kelly's death.
The scientist was the source for a controversial BBC report, which claimed the Government doctored an intelligence dossier to make Iraq seem a greater threat than it was prior to the war.
Anyone with written submissions should sent them to The Coroner, Southern House, 1 Cambridge Terrace, Oxford OX1 1RR, by Tuesday.
