A parachute worth £4,000 was among items stolen by thieves after a woman lost her handbag and keys but did not get the locks of her Oxford home changed.
Her home in Walton Crescent, Jericho, was raided some time between 9am and 5.45pm on Monday.
She lost her handbag in Bonn Square on Saturday afternoon.
As well as the Vortex parachute, in a purple kit bag, jewellery and electrical items worth thousands of pounds were taken.
Detectives have appealed to anyone who loses keys and property including personal details to change their locks immediately and report the loss to police.
A band was playing in Bonn Square at the time the woman lost her bag.
Police have appealed to anyone who saw a man picking up a mislaid handbag to get in touch.
