A man who was left fighting for his life after he was stabbed repeatedly in the neck by a mystery attacker has improved enough to breathe without help of a ventilator.
Neil Prior, 40, of Marsh Court, Abingdon, is still recovering at the John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford, following the attack a week ago in the back garden of his home. He was described as in a stable condition on Friday, February 20.
He suffered multiple stab wounds and police said he was lucky to be alive.
Detectives leading the inquiry have appealed for witnesses, or anyone with information, to come forward. The attack took place at about 10.40pm on Friday, February 13.
