Southern Counties North: Bicester earned their first league victory since November, as they beat Buckingham 26-20 at Oxford Road.
The home side disrupted Buckingham possession at the line-outs, where lock Mark Malins and No 8 Christian Wright were outstanding.
Led by props by Dave Brogan and Rob Thurlow and hooker Darren Cassidy, Bicester repeatedly drove off the scrummages, and three times were held up on the line.
Bicester used the slope and the wind to good effect in the first half, scoring three tries through scrum half Stuart Cassidy, centre Adam Wade and No 8 Christian Wright. Alistair Smith converted twice to give Bicester a 19-0 lead.
In the second half, Buckingham replied with a penalty by Adam Izzard, before Christian Nagelle went over in the corner for an unconverted try.
Bicester added a crucial final try 15 minutes from time when a quick blind-side break by Wright sent open-side flanker Richard Ingham hurtling under the posts for a try which Smith converted.
Flanker Jon Hicks was then sin-binned for killing the ball, and Buckingham replied with two late tries.
Witney maintained their promotion push with an emphatic 51-3 victory at home to Grove.
The visitors held their own early on, as Witney were made to work hard.
Inspired by flanker Will Worrall, Witney gradually began to assert their authority. Worrall dived over for the first try, Ollie Smith converting from out wide.
The home side began to cut loose as further first-half tries came from Will Greenwood, left wing Henry Lamb (2) and lock Jez Hicks. Smith added one other conversion to put Witney 29-0 up at half-time.
The second half saw Grove camp in Witney's 22 for the first ten minutes and they eventually scored a drop goal.
Attacking out wide, Witney breached the Grove defence consistently, and further tries followed for James Lamb, a second for Greenwood, a third for Henry Lamb, and replacement Carl Strutt. Smith added one conversion.
