Henley MP Boris Johnson has tripled his MP's salary through journalism and writing. The Tory earned more than £100,000 on top of the £53,000 he gets for representing his constituents.
That is without declaring how much he earns to edit the Spectator. Mr Johnson gets a total of £55,000 for writing a column in the Daily Telegraph and books for Harper Collins.
But he also gets more than £40,000 for writing articles for magazines, appearing on the news quiz Have I Got News For You and other BBC programmes and a string of speaking engagements for groups such as Celebrity Speakers Agency and Famous Faces.
