The Town overcame the Gown in the annual match organised by Oxford Sports Council at the Forum Youth Centre in Kidlington.
The Oxford men's A team of Karl Bushell (Forum), Andrew Flint (Forum), Clive Morris (St James) and Sven Mangels (Holton) proved too strong for the students, running out resounding winners by nine sets to one.
Oxford won seven of the eight singles and both doubles, their only defeat coming when Andrew Flint was beaten in four by University captain Doug Speed.
With the Town having won all the ladies matches played since 1990, the decision was taken to field the top four Oxford junior girls against the Gown.
This produced an excellent match which saw the honours shared 5-5, with three sets going to the fifth game and four others to four.
The team representing Oxford was Tina Tian, Laura Gubbins, Laurel Christer and Laura Sheppard (all Forum).
The highlight was the clash between the two No 1s which saw Tian and the University's Francesca Parnell. Tian triumphed 11-9 in the deciding set.
With only the men's A and ladies' matches counting for the trophy, the men's B team fixture was played as a friendly, the Oxford team of Stuart Pringle (Holton), Paul Woodward, John Duncalf and Paul Whitford (all Forum) turning a 3-1 deficit into a 6-4 victory.
