A memorial is being planned by children and staff for a caretaker at an Oxford primary school who died from Legionnaire's disease.
Jim Perry, 61, who had worked at St Andrew's School, Headington, right, for eight years, died from the deadly pneumonia at Oxford's John Radcliffe Hospital on February 22.
Mr Perry, of Druce Way, Oxford, who had three children with wife Rita, and four grandchildren, was popular with staff and children at the school.
He fell ill before the half-term break and died 15 days later.
Headteacher Susan Baker, said: "Obviously we are all very sad and shocked. We want to have a lasting memorial to him. We haven't decided what we will do at this stage but we will talk to the family. He was a very special person and we want to make sure we have something really nice to remember him."
Mr Perry's funeral will take place at Oxford Crematorium on March 4, at 11.15am.
Environmental health officers from Oxford City Council are awaiting the final results from tests carried out across the city but believe it was an isolated case.
