Among the speakers was Bruce Kent, the former head of anti-nuclear campaign CND.
The event, at the Oxford Union, in St Michael's Street, on Saturday, featured discussions and talks from organisations including Mayors for Peace, an organisation of mayors from around the world, founded by the Mayor of Hiroshima, which calls for nuclear disarmament.
Organiser Jean Kaye said: "We tried to get as many people as possible to be aware of the obligations of our nuclear treaties."
