Oxford City 1, Leyton 3: Oxford City went down to second-placed Leyton, having held the lead for 83 minutes of Saturday's Ryman Division 1 North encounter at Court Place Farm.
In the early exchanges, the visitors applied some pressure and although they produced some neat approach work, they failed to create any decent chances.
City more than held their own and with 42 minutes gone, they took the lead through Colin Simpson on his return to the club when he finished well from Adam Hamp's pass.
City's cause was not helped when Simpson had to leave the field with an injury early in the second half.
Danny Wise replaced him and was soon in the action, just failing to make it 2-0 when he rounded the keeper, but ran out of room.
City looked to be heading for all three points when, with seven minutes left, Neil Crosby was sent off for a foul in the penalty area that saw Lili Bajada equalise from the spot.
And it got worse for City when Paul Armstrong's corner was headed home by Scott Curley with three minutes left.
And their misery was complete when Armstrong drove in a third four minutes into stoppage time.
