Women's South League: Skipper Lyn Cockshott hit a hat-trick as Rover Oxford thrashed Havant 6-1 in Women's South League Division 1 at Iffley Road.
However, they had to come from behind after Havant took the lead against the run of play in the 23rd minute when a cross was deflected into the net, giving Caroline McCulloch no chance.
Rover rallied and their efforts finally paid off with a goal from Kim Cook's free hit outside the circle which was deflected in by Cockshott.
In the second half, Rover's passing and movement was just too much for the visitors.
When Laura Gorick's follow-up shot from a short corner found the back of the net to give Rover the lead, it opened the floodgates against an increasingly demoralised opposition.
Goals from Abi Robinson, two more for Cockshott and a rebound effort from player-of-the-match Lorraine Campbell sealed a comprehensive win.
West Witney crashed to the bottom of the table following their 4-2 defeat at second-placed Southampton.
The visitors fell behind when Southampton scored from the first whistle.
Southampton went 2-0 ahead midway through the half from a short corner.
Witney pulled a goal back just before half-time when Sally Jeanes set up Kelly Scott at the near post.
In the second half, Witney equalised through a short corner when Vicky Easton's shot was deflected by Adele Butler and finished by Scott.
But Southampton went 3-2 up with another well-worked short corner.
After both teams had players sent off - Sally Jeanes and Sadie Lapper from Witney and Southampton's Sue Crawley - the home side added No 4.
