Witney & District FA: Carterton Town A strengthened their grip on the Premier Division title race with two important victories.

After a 3-1 midweek victory at Napier Rovers, Town won 3-0 at bottom club Kingham on Saturday to go clear at the top.

Against Napier, Karl Dodds, Scott Walters and Darryl Steele scored for Town, with Justin Young hitting Napier's reply.

Then at the weekend, strikes from Marcus Town- send, Darryl Kew and Walters leaves them needing one win to secure the title.

A goal in each half from leading scorers John Curtis and Richie Goodwin gave Brize Norton a 2-0 win at Napier.

Charlbury's relegation woes continued as they went down 2-1 at home to North Leigh A.

A goal in each half from Paul O'Hare saw North to victory, with Andy Woodley replying.

In Division 1, the second promotion spot is still up for grabs as both Hailey and Ducklington recorded vic- tories.

Hailey beat Spartan Rangers 3-1. Graham Dudley put Hailey in front, before Paul Maycock equalised.

Dudley's second strike and an Ady Winstone goal secured the points in the second half.

Ducklington won 3-0 against Hanborough Res, with goals from Anthony Lune, Dean O'Sullivan and Ray Read.

Fieldtown secured their survival with a 3-0 win over bottom club Wootton.

Merv Keen, promoted from the reserves, put Fieldtown in front direct from a corner, and then provided the crosses for Matt Johnson and top scorer Olly Whitehall to complete the scoring.

Chippy Swifts clinched the Division 4 title with a 3-1 win at Charlbury Town Res.

The home side took the lead through Craig McCallum.

Chippy hit back with goals from Andy Watson (2), and Warwick Tompkins, and Charlbury's cause wasn't helped when defender Glen Jackson was sent off for a second booking.

Millpark celebrated their first season in the league with a 2-1 victory over FC Nomads in the Junior Cup final.

Dan Mullins's 25-yard deflected strike put Nomads in front, but the Division 3 outfit would not lie down, and equalised when Justin Summers blasted home from 35 yards.

Alex Bolt then fired Millpark in front, and they held firm to secure the cup.
