An Oxford-born film maker is hoping to turn the city into 'the new Hollywood'.
Robin Burke, 20, a former pupil at Wheatley Park School, in Holton, near Oxford, is returning to Oxford to shoot a short comedy about Sigmund Freud.
Mr Burke said the script featured the psychologist's days as a visiting lecturer at Oxford University.
In the film, called Freud, the title role will be played by Roger Lloyd Pack, who played the slow-witted Trigger in BBC1's Only Fools and Horses.
Mr Burke, who is a student at the University of Westminster, in London, said: "It is fictional story based on Freud's visits to Oxford as a lecturer.
"It's always been my dream to be able to come back to my home town to shoot some of the 'beautiful spires' views that the city has to offer.
"We've got a great team, some great locations, a great script and a fantastic cast. Let's make Oxford the new Hollywood."
The film is being made for Mr Burke's final graduation project. He is appealing for local companies to invest in the project.
He said: "Once completed, Freud will be distributed internationally to film festivals and television broadcasters, but most importantly will be screened in Oxford, so that the residents can see what they think.
"It's such a great experience making films, but it is also an expensive one.
"We would welcome any sponsorship from local individuals or companies that are interested in investing in the film.
"We will put your name or logo in the credits -- and reserve those front-seat tickets at the Oscars for you."
Queen's College will host the filming early next month.
