Banbury's hospital radio station will be broadcasting to the wider community on April 24 as part of its 40th birthday celebrations.
Usually, only those at the Horton can tune into the programmes. But for one day only, Radio Horton will have an FM frequency.
Through the early hours of April 24, listeners to 87.7FM will hear non-stop music until presenters kick off a variety of shows at 6am.
Radio Horton's big day will be based at Banbury United's ground, with a temporary studio set up in the directors' box.
Programme director Stewart Green said: "Everyone in Banbury will be able to hear us, and hopefully the reception will be okay in some nearby villages. The programmes will contain something for everybody, with music from the 50s to the present day and news."
