It was with great sadness that I read your front page article about the young lady who fears for her life if she can't get help (Oxford Mail, April 1).
Having just recovered from four months of depression (I get it every year, and had a nervous breakdown 27 years ago), I know how desperate this young lady must be.
I suspect if she were an illegal immigrant or on social security, she would stand a better chance of getting help.
It seems to me the powers-that-be have their priorities wrong. When I see ridiculous amounts of money being spent in doing up Cornmarket Street in Oxford, with £30,000 benches, it makes me so angry.
The time has come when a bunch of schoolchildren could run the country. I hope the lady gets help soon, before it is too late.
