It's cheers to Ian and Jane Shaw, landlord and landlady at the Hatchet public house in Childrey, near Wantage, who have won the Vale of the White Horse branch of Camra, the Campaign for Real Ale's Pub of the Year Award.
Branch chairman Lawrence Rogers said the award was made to an outstanding pub with a wide range of beer and quality real ales.
He added: "The Hatchet is very much an English pub, an extension of your home."
Mrs Shaw, who has run the pub with her husband for 11 years, said: "It's the first time we have won the award and of course we are very pleased."
