THE National Front never misses a trick.
It was inevitable that it would try to jump on the bandwagon of the proposed asylum seekers' centre near Bicester.
NF supporters handed out leaflets to shoppers and claimed to have received a good response. They plan to field two candidates in the June local elections.
Some might argue that we are doing a disservice to our readers by publicising their appearance in the town.
But history tells us that it is a mistake to ignore the presence of people with such abominable views.
Hitler, Mussolini and in more recent times, Mugabe, to name but three, came to power because warnings were ignored.
People may have strong views about the immigration centre, and feel anger about the way Deputy Prime Minister John Prescott has handled the issue.
But joining or supporting a party with extremist views is not the way forward.
Those who feel they have sympathy with the National Front or British National Party should look at the small print.
