SIR - A further grave concern over public services has again reared its head.
After the last review of sub-post offices when large numbers were closed, the new postal commission was set up by the Government to review further this service. For your readers' information, the word "review" is a code for "cuts".
The commission reported on April 9 that up to 1,600 sub-post offices could be closed. When will the Government realise that closing sub-post offices is destroying a basic social service within the community which provides stability to village life?
